PowerSecure International, Inc. (Nasdaq: POWR) today announced the promotions of Ronnie Brannen to President of the Company's UtilityServices business unit, and Brian Kisner to President of its NexGear® business unit. Both business units are components of the Company's Smart Grid Solutions segment, and have been major drivers of the Company's growth and success. Mr. Brannen and Mr. Kisner's promotions reflect the strong leadership and focus on the customer that both executives demonstrated as they grew these businesses into major contributors to the Company's overall revenue and profit. They also reflect the Company's on-going commitment to invest in these business areas due to their strong prospects for future growth. In fact, year-over-year growth during the last twelve months ended March, 2009 for the UtilityServices and NexGear units was 34% and 22%, respectively.

Mr. Brannen joined PowerSecure in mid-2007 after a twenty-three year career with Georgia Power, a subsidiary of the Southern Company. At Georgia Power, Mr. Brannen was a key account executive and held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in the electrical distribution area, ultimately leading business development activities for the customer-owned electrical distribution system market. Mr. Kisner joined PowerSecure in 2003 after twelve years with Eaton Corporation, where he held a variety of operational and sales positions in Eaton's electrical switchgear businesses, including leading two successful start-up ventures at Eaton for custom switchgear and electrical components.
