Jun. 12--Although Tito Nieves, the Pavarotti of Salsa, has been recording since the 1970s, it wasn't until the 1990s that he crossed into the mainstream with the signature "I Like It Like That." His infectiously rhythmic version of the golden oldie made it to TV and movie soundtracks, as well as popular commercials for Burger King and Folger's coffee. More recently, Nieves teamed with Mexican Norteno singer Marco Antonio Solis for "Mi Mayor Sacrificio" on Nieves 2007 album, En Vivo. In concert, expect him to cover the range of his long career, including such hits as "Can You Stop the rain," "You Bring Me Joy" and "De mi enamorate."
