NEWS LEADERS AND LAGGARDS

So far today, Archer-Daniels-Midland, Nokia Oyj, and Andrx Corp lead the list of companies with the most news stories while Yellow Roadway Corp and Cameco Corp are showing a spike in news. MARKET OVERVIEW

The various overseas markets are putting in another strong session today, with 13 of the 15 markets we follow in positive territory. The cumulative average return on the group stands at a 0.312-percent gain. In Asia, the Nikkei added 0.35 percent while the Hang Seng edged 0.46 percent higher. Turning to Europe, the FTSE 100 is leading the way with a 0.68-percent jump. The French CAC 40 is close behind with a 0.43-percent increase and the German DAX has inched 0.33 percent higher.

Futures are pointed to a positive start to the session ahead of the release of the Gross Domestic Product. Annual growth is expected to slow from 3.8 percent in the first quarter to about 3.4 percent in the second.
