Airspan to Host Series of WiMAX(TM) Webinars for Rural Broadband Stimulus Package

Outlining the Benefits of WiMAX for Rural Telecommunications Companies, State Officials, Indian Nations and Educational Institutions

BOCA RATON, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 04/17/09 -- Airspan Networks Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AIRN), a leading provider of broadband wireless access networks, announced today a series of webinars to be held in April and May, co-hosted by WCAI, NEBSA and the WiMAX Forum®, informing the market on the benefits of wireless broadband and its role in the government rural broadband stimulus plans.

The first of the series will be held on April 21 at 2pm EDT and co-hosted by WiMAX Forum and WCAI. This webinar is geared toward rural operators and carriers. The speakers will include:

--  Declan Byrne, Chief Marketing Officer of Airspan
--  Dave Kirk, Director of Business Development of Stutler Technologies
--  Customer Case Study - a WiMAX user's perspective

The second webinar will be held on April 22 at 2pm EDT. It will be co-hosted by WCAI and NEBSA and will focus on educational broadband. Speakers include:

--  Dr. Patrick Gossman, Deputy CIO of Wayne State University and board
    member, NEBSA
--  Declan Byrne, Chief Marketing Officer of Airspan
--  William Wallace, Chairman of the Board, DigitalBridge Communications

An Indian nation webinar is being planned for May 12, with a second series planned for later in the quarter.
