Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT), a leading online vehicle remarketer, is
proud to announce that it will be a sponsor for Bill McAnally Racing
during the NASCAR Camping World Series West and the NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series.
In addition to appearing on the lower quarter panel of the championship
No. 20 NAPA Toyota of Eric Holmes in the NASCAR Camping World Series
West, Copart will also be on the deck lid of that car and the other two
BMR cars in the series – the No. 16 HASA Toyota of Moses Smith and the
No. 12 NAPA AutoCare Toyota of series rookie Paulie Harraka.
Copart will also be a sponsor in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
Late Model competition at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. –
appearing on the quarter panel of the No. 16 late model driven by Juan
Pitta.
As part of the agreement, Copart will also co-sponsor the final NASCAR
Camping World Series West championship event of 2009 at All American
Speedway in September.
Copart President Jay Adair said the agreement with Bill McAnally Racing
is another way that Copart is extending its involvement in the racing
world in order to reach car enthusiasts. Copart recently enhanced its
website to make it easier for new buyers to search for and view vehicles
offered at www.copart.com.
“By expanding our racing presence to NASCAR’s top regional series and
late model stock car program, we believe we are reaching a larger
variety of car enthusiasts who will enjoy the ease-of-use and access to
a huge inventory of great vehicles that Copart has to offer,” said
Adair. “This is just another sign of our commitment to continue
providing the most efficient bidding environment possible for our
sellers.”
BMR won the NASCAR Camping World Series West championship in four of the
past 10 years. The Northern California-based team has accounted for 38
wins in the series, including the inaugural NASCAR Toyota All-Star
Showdown in 2003. Drivers under the BMR banner have finished in the top
10 of the final championship standings 20 times since 1995.
In addition to its Camping World Series success, BMR won the NASCAR
Whelen All-American Series Late Model championship at All American
Speedway in 2008. BMR Late Model teams were the first to deliver a win
in NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program and the first to bring a
championship to that program.
“We look forward to having Copart become a part of our program,” said
Bill McAnally, president of BMR, which won championships at both levels
in 2008.
