Listing Ranks Best-Performing Massachusetts-based Corporations
CSP Inc. (NASDAQ: CSPI), a provider of IT solutions, systems integration
services and dense cluster computing systems, announced today that it
has once again achieved a spot on the “Globe 100” list. Annually, The
Boston Globe ranks public companies by how well they increased
sales, profits, and returns for shareholders during 2008.
Acknowledging this accomplishment in light of the difficult economic
conditions of 2008, Shirley Leung, business editor of the Boston Globe,
commented, “These businesses excelled when so many others struggled, and
their stories offer invaluable lessons for tough times.”
Consideration for the Globe 100 requires that a company maintain its
headquarters in Massachusetts, and publicly trade its stock on NASDAQ,
New York Stock Exchange, or American Stock Exchange. The company must
also have been public for the entire 2008 calendar year, and have
reported revenue and profit for both 2007 and 2008. Rankings are based
on a composite score from financial data for the four quarters ending
December 31, 2008 and for corresponding quarters a year earlier.
“We are honored to be recognized as a top performing company during
these times of economic uncertainty,” said Alexander R. Lupinetti, CSP
chairman and chief executive officer. “Our success is due to our focus
on delivering high quality products that our customers need to solve
their most critical problems.”
