ANAHEIM, Calif., June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SoftBrands, Inc. (NYSE Amex: SBN), a global supplier of enterprise application software, is announcing new products, partnerships and customer initiatives while attending the 2009 HITEC show, the world's largest hospitality technology conference. SoftBrands is exhibiting at booth #510 at HITEC 2009 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from June 22-25. Key initiatives announced today at a news conference at the show include:
-- SoftBrands announced that the Palomar Hotel Philadelphia (a Kimpton hotel) will implement SoftBrands' Epitome property management and business intelligence systems. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants operate hotels across the United States and Canada. The Palomar Hotel Philadelphia will be the 49th Kimpton Hotel to contract with SoftBrands.
-- SoftBrands has formed a customer advisory council called the "SoftBrands Partner Strategy Team." The group comprises six key customers, including Red Roof Inns, Peabody Hotels, Kimpton Hotels, Omni Hotels, Drury Inns and Orient Express. SoftBrands' goal in forming this customer advisory panel is to gather strategic input from its key customers and ensure mutual success.
-- SoftBrands has reinforced its relationship with Westmont Hospitality Group. SoftBrands has been working with Westmont to provide development, software, support and services as part of the strategic partnership between the two companies. The two companies have been working together for approximately two years. During the course of this relationship, SoftBrands has demonstrated its commitment to meeting Westmont project deadlines, delivering effective software solutions and providing quality service and support.
