American Medical Response (AMR) won a Stevie Award for “Best Corporate
Social Responsibility Program of the Year - More Than 2,500 Employees”
in The 2009 American Business Awards, presented June 22 at a special
ceremony in New York City.
In winning its second consecutive Stevie, American Medical Response was
selected from eight finalists and more than 100 entries in its category.
Stevie Awards were presented in more than 40 categories, including Best
Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social
Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,600 entries from
companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted
for consideration.
Accepting the Stevie on behalf of AMR, Phil Crimaldi, AMR General

Home for the Holidays is a program offered by many AMR operations across
the nation. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season,
residents of skilled nursing facilities are provided free medical
transportation home to be with loved ones for a few hours.
