Xerox Corporation’s (NYSE: XRX) new color pricing plans, offered with
the ColorQube™
9200 Series multifunction printer (MFP), have been awarded “Most
Innovative Color Printer Pricing” as part of the 2009 BERTL’s Best
Awards. The plans reduce the cost of printing color pages by up to 62
percent compared to traditional color laser MFPs without compromising
quality.
“BERTL's Best Awards recognize the most innovative, highest-quality
products and services in the digital imaging and workflow solutions
market,” said Margie Davis, managing director, BERTL Inc. “Compared to
traditional two-tiered pricing, Xerox’s three-tiered approach opens the
door to significantly reduced color page costs.”
The ColorQube 9200 Series’ Hybrid
Color Pricing Plans eliminate traditional “one-size-fits-all”
pricing for color prints, where the cost of a page with full color, like
printing a photo image, is the same as the cost of a page with just a
little bit of color, such as a company logo on letterhead.
Now, customers pay only for the amount of color they use on a given
page. For example, an office document with a logo and small
graphic will cost the same as if it were printed in black: one penny.
Documents with moderate color coverage, like a Web page or company
newsletter are three cents, while those printed pages with heavy color,
such as a real estate flier, will cost eight cents.
At the company’s Web site, http://www.FinallyColorIsLess.com,
customers can use two new tools to evaluate potential cost savings. The Document
Analyzer Tool allows users to upload documents and assess what the
cost of their color prints could be. With the Cost
Savings Calculator, users can compare their current cost of color
printing to what they would pay using ColorQube.
Launched last month, the ColorQube 9200 Series also received a Technological
Innovation Award from Industry Analysts, Inc., in recognition of the
breakthrough technology behind the world's first high-speed solid
ink multifunction printer.
