Company Submissions Result in Two Prestigious Awards
Lion Uniform Group, a G&K Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: GKSR) company,
has received two “Image of the Year Awards” from the National
Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD). These
annual awards recognize distinctive image solutions in the corporate
uniform and apparel industry.
Lion Uniform Group achieved the retail “Image of the Year Award” for the
Shell Oil Company uniform program and the transportation “Image of the
Year Award” for the Delta Air Lines uniform program. The company also
received a nomination for its work with Bryant Park in the Parks and
Amusement category.
“We’re honored to receive these prestigious awards for our work with
these remarkable customers,” said Jeanna Peifer, vice president and
general manager. “Our strong capabilities, combined with understanding
our customers’ unique image needs, provide a collaborative approach to
outfitting our customers with high-performance uniform programs that are
fashionable and functional. Receiving these awards continues to
demonstrate that our innovative solutions deliver a professional look in
enhancing our customers’ image, brand and identity in the workplace.”
Lion Uniform Group worked closely with Shell Oil Company marketing to
develop this program based on customer feedback. This feedback gave
inspiration to design, manage and fulfill a durable uniform that
heightens brand awareness and presents a consistent professional image
globally. The Shell Oil Company has been a customer of the Lion Uniform
Group for over 70 years.
Lion Uniform Group, in strong collaboration with Delta Air Lines and
world-renowned designer Richard Tyler, launched Delta’s new uniform
program in 2006. More recently, Lion Uniform Group was instrumental in
helping integrate more than 11,000 pre-merger Northwest Airlines
employees to the Delta uniform program. The successful support of this
major initiative was another important milestone in serving customers
within the transportation industry.
