The FastWeb Race committee recently added a new submission category
“Fastest in the World.” The judges will pick the winner in the ‘Fastest
in the World’ category, who will receive the FastWeb Race Performance
Award and 6 months of free Web performance monitoring from Keynote
Systems, and choose the top entry that has the best potential to improve
the performance of the Web. The judges will also provide findings on how
to improve performance to selected entrants for free. Entries must be
received by July 15th. More information about submitting entries can be
found at: www.fastwebrace.com.
The judging panel brings more than 30 years experience in the industry

performance. He is also the creator of YSlow, the performance analysis
extension to Firebug; Buffone has years of experience researching and

decade and her colleagues refer to her as the Goddess of Acceleration;
and Rushlo brings a wealth of real world experience optimizing Web sites
and improving performance and advising Fortune 500 companies on how to
deliver a positive end user experience on their Web site.
“We’re all really excited to be involved in the FastWeb Race – with so
many new technologies being developed all the time, performance must be
top of mind if you want to succeed online,” said Rushlo.
