Lannett Company, Inc. (AMEX: LCI), a manufacturer of generic
pharmaceuticals, today announced the appointment of Terence D. Vollrath
as executive vice president of its wholly owned subsidiary, Cody
Laboratories (Cody), a manufacturer/supplier of bulk active
pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
Vollrath, 52, reports to Richard Asherman, chief executive officer of
Cody.
“Terry brings more than 20 years of operations, process development and
business development experience in the API field,” said Arthur
Bedrosian, president and chief executive officer of Lannett. “We look
forward to benefiting from his expertise and insights, gained from
working with big pharma as well as chemical and biotech firms, as we
build our pain management business.”
Vollrath most recently served as vice president operations for Minrad
International, Inc. Earlier, he provided consulting services to the
pharmaceutical chemicals, biotech and pharmaceutical industries, and
before that served as director of operations for Aerojet Fine Chemicals.
From 1978 to 1997, Vollrath rose through the management ranks of Abbott
Laboratories. Vollrath earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical
engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a master of business
administration degree from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
