Marshall & Ilsley Corporation Announces Closing of Common Stock Offering

MILWAUKEE, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI) (M&I) announced today the closing of its public offering of 100,000,000 shares of its common stock at $5.75 per share. The 100,000,000 shares include 13,000,000 shares issued pursuant to the option granted to the underwriters by M&I, which was exercised in full. The proceeds to M&I after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses were approximately $552 million. Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated and Barclays Capital Inc. acted as joint book-runners for the offering.
