New Brand Identity Highlights the Company’s Evolution and Growth as a Digital Entertainment Technology Leader

Macrovision Solutions Corporation (NASDAQ: MVSN), a digital entertainment technology leader, today announced its intention to formally change its name to Rovi. The Rovi brand is part of the company’s new brand identity that includes a new corporate visual design. Macrovision will continue to operate under the Macrovision name until the annual meeting of stockholders being held on July 15, 2009, at which time the name change will be considered for approval. If the stockholders approve the change of the company name, the company’s trading symbol on the NASDAQ Global Select Market would also be changed at that time.
