Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. (NYSE: OSG), a market leader in
providing energy transportation services, today announced that Captain
Ian T. Blackley has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Captain
Blackley, 54, leads International shipping operations, which includes
operational oversight and management of OSG’s 94 crude oil tankers,
product carriers and LNG vessels that trade worldwide.

Senior Vice President.”
Captain Ian T. Blackley was appointed Head of International Shipping
Operations earlier this year. In this role he is responsible for the
technical management of OSG’s International Flag fleet, which includes
oversight of more than 3,200 seafarers and technical management and
training operations based in Athens, Greece; Newcastle, United Kingdom;
and Manila, Philippines. Captain Blackley is also Managing Director and
Chief Operating Officer of OSG Ship Management (UK) Ltd., positions he
has held since 2005.
Since joining the Company in 1991, Captain Blackley has held numerous
operational and financial positions including Assistant Treasurer and
Vice President, Treasury. His treasury responsibilities included
managing OSG’s global banking relationships, the negotiation and
management of debt facilities and other investment projects. Captain
Blackley led the Company’s strategic study of the Liquefied Natural Gas
(LNG) business and is a board member of OSG Nakilat Corporation, OSG’s
LNG joint venture with Qatar Gas Transport Company.
Captain Blackley began his seagoing career in 1971 with Peninsular and
Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O), serving as Captain from 1987 to
1991. He holds a diploma in Nautical Science from Glasgow College of
Nautical Studies and holds Master Mariner Class 1 license.
