smart USA Distributor LLC, a subsidiary of Penske Automotive Group, Inc., (NYSE: PAG), announced today its headquarters and smart center Bloomfield dealership in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, have been awarded LEED® Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The LEED® certification was based on a number of green design and construction features that positively impact the project and the broader community. LEED® is the USGBC’s lead rating system related to the design and construction of energy-efficient buildings.

smart USA’s headquarters and its only Michigan dealership, smart center Bloomfield (www.smartcenterbloomfield.com), are co-located at 1765 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Hills. The building was designed to achieve LEED® certification for energy use, lighting, water and material use as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable, environmentally friendly strategies.
