All U.S. Vehicle Comparison Tests Conducted by Source Interlink Media's Leading Auto Enthusiast Magazines will use Fuel that includes Chevron's Unsurpassed Techron Technology

LOS ANGELES, May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Source Interlink Media, LLC, a subsidiary of Source Interlink Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SORC), a media and marketing services company and one of the largest publishers of magazines and online content for automotive enthusiast audiences, today announced it has extended its partnership with Chevron to bring Techron(R) Technology - only available in Chevron, Texaco and Caltex fuels - as the Official Fuel Technology of its major auto titles -- Motor Trend, Automobile and European Car.

As part of the relationship, all vehicles participating in comparison road tests conducted in the United States by Motor Trend, Automobile, and European Car will be fueled with either Chevron with Techron or Texaco with Techron gasolines. The select Source Interlink Media publications will feature Techron Technology as the Official Fuel Technology with a series of print and online advertisements, an editorial roundtable, advertorials, features showcasing station locations and point of purchase displays, enabling Chevron to reach millions of passionate automotive enthusiasts.

'We test sophisticated, high performance vehicles - such as those with new direct injection engines -- that require high performance fuel quality,' said Angus MacKenzie, editor-in-chief of Motor Trend Magazine.

Motor Trend has expanded its relationship with Chevron as Techron Technology's unique, patented chemistry is expected to be ideal for maximizing direct injection engine performance. Techron Technology contains polyether amine (PEA) chemistry, originally designed for better performance in the combustion chamber, where a direct injection engine is susceptible to performance-robbing deposits.

'Chevron's long-standing reputation as trusted providers of quality fuel products makes partnering with Source Interlink Media a natural extension of our brand,' said Shariq Yosufzai, president of Chevron Global Marketing. 'Our Techron Technology is a proven leader among fuel additives and contains PEA chemistry that no other gasoline in the United States has in order to help engines prevent harmful deposit buildup. Chevron's Techron formulation with PEA chemistry, which was patented by Chevron in the early 1980s, makes Techron Technology unique and appears to be especially beneficial to modern new engines.
