TheStreet.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSCM; http://www.thestreet.com),
a leading online financial media company, announced today that it has
appointed Rich Broitman as Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Broitman had
previously been the Company’s Acting Chief Accounting Officer, a
position he took in May 2009.
“Rich has been a stalwart in our finance department for close to nine
years,” said Daryl Otte, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. “His
steady oversight of our external reporting, budgeting and cost
management functions during that time gives me great confidence that he
will excel in this new role.”
Mr. Broitman joined the Company as its Controller in July 2000 and was
appointed Vice President of Finance in October 2007. Before joining the
Company, he was Controller of Individual Investor Group, an online and
print media company. Prior to that, Mr. Broitman was Director of
International Royalties for Bertelsmann Music Group.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Broitman worked in an audit capacity for
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (formerly Touche Ross & Co.), where he was
certified as a public accountant, and for the CBS Corporation.
