Mr. Chagani is highly versatile in digital media. He has experience in
web site design and animation as well as in producing films, including

University, Mr. Chagani produced several films and documentaries,
including: “A River’s Reach”, a feature film highlighting globalization;

conservation television commercials for a local television station.
“As the media industry continues to reinvent itself, we want to provide
an opportunity for talented students to pursue their goals in
journalism,” said Vincent L. Sadusky, president and chief executive
officer. “This scholarship is a well-deserved recognition of Joshua’s
accomplishments. We encourage his continued hard work and ambition.”
“Earning one of the industry’s most prominent scholarships is a
tremendous honor and it will undoubtedly open up many doors for me,”
remarked Joshua Chagani. “I am truly grateful.”
For more than a decade, LIN TV has awarded scholarships to ambitious
students pursuing a wide spectrum of fields in or relating to broadcast
television and digital media, ranging from producing and engineering to
broadcast journalism, community affairs and sales. Students are selected
for the Minority Scholarship and Training Program based on criteria,
including academic achievement, passion for broadcasting and desire to
contribute to the overall advancement of the industry.
LIN TV’s 2008 Minority Scholarship recipient, Allyn Hoang, now a senior
at the University of Texas, will intern at KXAN-TV in Austin, TX, this
summer, in the News Department. Both Minority Scholarship recipients
will be offered full-time permanent positions at a television station
