coatings industry, kicked off its 2009 Wrigley Field sponsorship by
unveiling the newly painted Wrigley Field Marquee and Scoreboard at the
Cubs’ first home game of the season. In honor of repainting two of
Chicago’s and baseball’s most celebrated icons, Valspar is creating
three limited-edition colors for the Chicago Cubs – Pinstripe Blue,
Marquee Red and Ivy Green – available beginning June 1st.

As part of the brand’s commitment to preserving historical icons both
nationally and locally, Valspar paint will bring the Wrigley Field
Marquee and Scoreboard to life as it opens to host the Cubs for the 94th
year. Valspar’s sponsorship also includes interactive games for fans,
announcements and signage during the 81 home games, as well as
advertisements in the Cubs Official Scorecard throughout the 2009 season.
