ITC-Welcomgroup India Selects MICROS as Next Generation Technology Partner

NEW DELHI, June 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that ITC-Welcomgroup has selected the MICROS's OPERA Enterprise Solution and MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) as its next generation technology. One of the fastest growing hotel companies in India, ITC-Welcomgroup currently has over 100 hotels under the ITC Luxury Collection, WelcomHotels / Sheraton, Fortune, and WelcomHeritage brands.

ITC-Welcomgroup will deploy the MICROS OPERA Central Reservation System (ORS) in its Bangalore data center facility to manage call center operations and automate distribution of hotel products to sales channels around the world. OPERA Customer Information System (OCIS) will be used to promote an enterprise-wide customer relationship management (CRM) capability by centrally consolidating profile and production information for all ITC's customers and key business partners, making this information available to ITC management and staff at all customer touch points within the Group. Additionally, the powerful OPERA Web Suite (OWS) will seamlessly connect the ITC-Welcomgroup website to the OPERA Central Reservation and Customer Information Systems allowing guests to book rooms in real time and to view and modify profile data, preferences, and loyalty information.

The OPERA Property Management System (PMS), MICROS 9700 HMS for point of sale, and MICROS Guest Connection (GC) restaurant management system will provide a fully integrated, customer focused solution at the property level, with seamless replication of data between Property and Corporate level systems (ORS/OCIS), creating efficiencies and benefits only available with a fully integrated, enterprise-wide solution from MICROS. This level of integration will also extend to existing ITC-Welcomgroup systems, including SAP(C), providing a unified view and sharing of information across all hotel systems.
