Chris Tsakalakis Speaks on the Future of Ticketing on July 16th

VERNON, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 06/29/09 -- TicketNetwork, the leading source for the ticket industry's most comprehensive inventory, today announced that StubHub's President, Chris Tsakalakis, is slated to give the keynote address at Ticket Summit 2009 Vegas on July 16th at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Ticket Summit 2009 is the world's premier and largest gathering of professionals in the secondary ticket industry.

Since taking the helm at StubHub in 2007 after the company was acquired by eBay, Tsakalakis has shepherded some of the industry's most landmark deals. In 2007, StubHub forged the first exclusive league wide secondary ticketing relationship with MLB Advanced Media creating a singular online resale destination for 29 MLB clubs. StubHub partnered with one of the music industry's most iconic artists in 2008 when Madonna named the company her secondary ticketing partner for the Sticky and Sweet Tour. And in June of 2009, the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys anointed StubHub as its Official Fan-to-Fan Ticket Marketplace, creating the first formal relationship between Broadway and the secondary ticket industry.

In addition to his role at StubHub, Tsakalakis also serves as the General Manager of the eBay Tickets business and has been an eBay Marketplaces executive since 2003, managing several divisions within the leading online marketplace. Prior to joining eBay Tickets, Tsakalakis managed the Advanced Solutions Group which provides solutions for advanced buyers and sellers, and includes eBay Stores, ProStores, trading platforms, seller marketing tools, and the eBay developers program.

Additionally, Tsakalakis oversaw the launch of ProStores, an eBay company offering complete Web storefront solutions independent of eBay.com. He holds a B.S. in economics from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
