AmeriChoice has named David Livingston president of its Great Lakes
Health Plan, one of Michigan’s major public-sector health plans.
Livingston will lead the day-to-day operations of the health plan,
serving more than 180,000 people and supplying jobs to 160 employees,
based in Southfield. He also will be the health plan’s primary liaison
with the Michigan Department of Community Health.
“David Livingston brings to AmeriChoice more than two decades of
experience creating innovative solutions, building new markets and
developing products to transform health care for the benefit of members
and state customers,” said Chris Scherer, senior vice president-health
plan operations for the Midwest Region of AmeriChoice.
Previously, Livingston was vice president of payer strategies and
contracting at Trinity Health. He is a Fellow of the American College of
Healthcare Executives and a member of the Healthcare Financial
Management Association.
Livingston earned a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and
Finance from Regis University in Denver and has an undergraduate degree
in actuarial science from Ball State University.
