Anderson Place Hosts Party to Cheer on Evan Kasprzak in the Top 12
The competition is heating up to find out who will be the next winner of
FOX’s hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance,” but some local
residents have already chosen their favorite contestant. The residents
and employees at Anderson Place Senior Living Community are rallying to
support one resident’s grandson, Evan Kasprzak, as he continues to
compete on the fifth season of “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Anderson Place resident, Jenny Kasprzak’s grandson, Evan Kasprzak, made
it to the top 14 contestants on the show last week, as a large group of
Anderson Place residents and staff sporting “Vote Evan” t-shirts
gathered to cheer him on. This week, the growing group of seniors will
gather again on July 1st to cheer for Evan. Jenny, who has
been an avid dancer for more than twenty years and member of the Senior
Follies dance troupe, claims to be Evan’s number one fan.
“You can really feel the energy and excitement in our community,” said
Jami Sexton, Community Relations Director at Anderson Place. “Families
are printing t-shirts, baking cakes and hanging banners to support Evan.
It has been a great way for our residents to stay connected to society,
foster friendships and participate in pop culture.”
Anderson Place is hosting its third community viewing party of “So You
Think You Can Dance” at 311 Simpson Road in Anderson on Wednesday, July
1 at 6:45 p.m. Members of the media are invited to join residents and
employees for a game of Dance Bingo and refreshments as they watch Evan
Kasprzak get closer to becoming America’s newest “So You Think You Can
Dance” winner. Please call Anderson Place at (864) 261-3875 for more
