Bank of America Merrill Lynch Names New Managing Director

(Source: Datamonitor)trackingBank of America Merrill Lynch has named Alan Murray as the new managing director of energy corporate and investment banking for the company's global corporate & investment banking business, effective late September 2009.

Mr Murray will report to Scott Bergh, head of energy corporate and investment banking for Americas. Mr Murray was formerly global head of Energy M&A at Citigroup in New York.

Mr Murray joined Citigroup following its acquisition of Schroders, where he was co-head of the global energy team. Formerly, he headed up Schroders's European oil and gas team in London.

Mr Bergh said: "With over 25 years of extensive transaction experience, clients look to Alan as a trusted strategic advisor based on his considerable investment banking acumen and expertise as an engineer. He will be a valuable addition to our team and underscores our commitment to this dynamic industry sector."
