Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) has completed the
previously-announced acquisition of a substrate manufacturing facility
located in Sarawak, Malaysia. The facility, previously owned and
operated by Western Digital, produces aluminum substrates used in hard
disk drives.

team to play an important role in the continued growth of Hitachi GST,”

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
