DeVry Inc. to Ring Closing Bell of New York Stock Exchange in Celebration of Joining the S&P 500 Index

DeVry Inc. (NYSE: DV), a global provider of educational services, announced that Daniel Hamburger, president and chief executive officer of DeVry Inc., along with DeVry Inc. employees and other special guests, will celebrate the company’s recent addition to the S&P 500 Index by ringing The Closing BellSM at the New York Stock Exchange today, July 7, 2009, at 4 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). DeVry Inc. became a member of the S&P 500 Index on June 8, 2009.

“Our selection into the S&P 500 Index is a testament to the success that DeVry has achieved by focusing on academic quality at each of its institutions and to the hard work and dedication of our employees who put our students first,” said Hamburger. “This is a true milestone for DeVry as we continue to deliver value to our students and stakeholders.”
