Gold production up in June at Etruscan's Youga Mine

HALIFAX, July 7 /CNW/ - Etruscan Resources Inc. (EET.TSX) reported today that its Youga Gold Mine located in Burkina Faso, West Africa produced 5,127 ounces of gold in June from 67,651 tonnes of ore compared to 3,626 ounces produced in May. Etruscan is continuing to work towards achieving a minimum monthly production of 7,000 ounces and plant throughput of 80,000 tonnes.

Operations at Youga are under the direct supervision of Etruscan's newly appointed Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Stine, who has been based at site since early May. Mr. Stine's mandate is to optimize operations at Youga to achieve steady state production, and in this regard he is also overseeing the strengthening of the mine management team.

Stephen Stine, P.E., Chief Operating Officer of Etruscan, is the Qualified Person overseeing production and development at the Youga Gold Project and has reviewed and approved this press release.
