Western U.S. Customers to Benefit From Rapid Turnaround and Lower Shipping Rates
CLEVELAND, July 9, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chart Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq:GTLS), a leading independent global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment used in the production, storage and end-use of hydrocarbon and industrial gases, today reported that Chart Distribution and Storage is expanding its cryogenic equipment repair services to Reno, Nevada.
"Combining the experience of the management teams from our Texas, Minnesota and Georgia repair facilities, we are investing in a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art repair facility located on 15 acres in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center to service our customers in the western half of the U.S.," stated Roger Hansen, Vice President of Chart's Distribution and Storage Bulk Gas Products Group. "Our customers in this region will now benefit from rapid turnaround and lower shipping rates to repair bulk, mobile and cryogenic packaged gas equipment with the same high quality that we have at our three existing repair facilities."
Chart Distribution and Storage's factory-trained personnel service all makes and models of cryogenic bulk storage vessels, cryogenic transport, industrial liquid cylinders and beverage cylinders, using the same parts, processes, and techniques employed on its newly manufactured units.
Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in July, and the facility is expected to be ready to receive customer bulk and mobile equipment for repair starting in September 2009. The facility is anticipated to be fully operational by January 2010. Customers can contact Chart Repair Operations at 1-800-231-8276 to schedule repair work.
