Contract Has Maximum Value of $45 Million to URS
URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced that the Company has been
awarded an indefinite deliver/indefinite quantity environmental
engineering services contract to provide environmental restoration,
compliance, and planning services to the U.S. Naval Engineering
Facilities Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW), primarily for activities and
installations in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho,
and Utah. The five-year contract has a maximum value of $45 million to
URS.
Under the terms of the contract, as task orders are issued, URS will
provide environmental engineering, investigation, and design services
under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and
Liability Act and state environmental programs. In addition, URS
currently is developing corporate-wide data management standards for the
U.S. Navy.
