Teradyne,
Inc. (NYSE: TER) and Advanced
Analogic Technologies, Inc. (AATI) announced that AATI has placed a
multiple system order for the
ETS-88™ test system from Teradyne’s Eagle
Test business unit. The first unit, which will test power
management, battery chargers, regulators and LED driver devices, has
been delivered and accepted.
Designed for high-volume commodity and precision device testing, the
ETS-88 is capable of running multiple unrelated test applications
simultaneously using multiple handlers and/or probers. The system
utilizes the same pattern-based floating resources and Eagle
VisionTM software that customers expect from an Eagle
platform. “We will use the ETS-88 for our advanced analog product line,”
said Allen Lam, vice president of Worldwide Operations at AATI. “The
system allows us to advance our test coverage and capabilities, while
lowering our cost of test.”
“We are proud to announce the acceptance of the ETS-88 at AATI,” said
David Anderson, business development manager for Teradyne’s Eagle Test
business unit. “Through our multi-tester architecture, we provide
cost-conscious customers a path to increase test coverage and accuracy
with unprecedented throughput. The ETS-88 is a strong new player in the
Eagle Test line of fully compatible product offerings.”
