INX Inc., (NASDAQ:INXI) announced today that it has entered into a contract with E-Waste Recovery Services of Northern California for a server recycling program.

Virtualization Technology has enabled companies to more efficiently deliver business applications by consolidating traditional data center resources and increasing efficiency in the way applications are delivered. The reduction in the number of servers used in an enterprise data center that has been virtualized is generally between 50 and 90 percent. This results in an excess of unused servers after a virtualization project. Although this is a good problem to have, companies are now challenged to responsibly dispose of legacy equipment no longer needed. INX is entering into formal relationships with organizations to help clients remove unwanted hardware, while positively impacting the local community and environment. One such partnership is with E-Waste Recovery Services, who will be covering the Northern California regional needs.

The relationship will create an opportunity for INX to offer a complimentary service that creates a true win-win scenario for everyone involved. Through the partnership with E-Waste Recovery Services, displaced equipment is first recycled and then donated to not-for-profit entities for their use.
