PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) has announced the following corporate
appointments:
Denise R. Cade, corporate counsel, securities and finance, and assistant
secretary, has been named assistant general counsel and secretary. In
this new role, she adds duties as corporate secretary to her
responsibilities for securities, corporate governance, finance and
treasury matters. Cade became corporate counsel, securities and finance,
in 2007, previously serving as corporate counsel, glass and fiber glass,
and as primary counsel for corporate development. Prior to joining PPG
in 2005, Cade was a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Shaw
Pittman LLP. She is a graduate of Marquette University and earned her
law degree from Georgetown University.
Regis W. Becker, global director, security and compliance, has been
appointed chief compliance officer, adding responsibility for PPG’s
worldwide Export Control Compliance Program to his global security and
compliance responsibilities. He joined PPG in 1992 as director of
corporate security and workers compensation in the environment, health
and safety (EHS) function, moving to the law department in 1998 as
corporate director, security and compliance, and then becoming global
director, security and compliance, in 2002. Becker began his career in
law enforcement working in the Allegheny County (Pa.) District
Attorney’s Office and as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and
the Duquesne University School of Law.
Both Cade and Becker will continue to report to James C. Diggs, senior
vice president and general counsel.
