Smith Micro Software Announces Agreement With DigitalBridge Communications to Deliver WiMAX Connectivity Management

(NASDAQ:SMSI), a leading developer and marketer of mobility solutions and services for the wireless market, today announced that it has been selected by DigitalBridge Communications Corp., the leading private operator of WiMAX 4G broadband networks in growing rural regions throughout the U.S., to deliver 4G connection management software to support its initial WiMAX rollout deployment for markets in Idaho, Indiana, Montana, SouthDakota, Virginia and Wyoming.

Through this agreement, Smith Micro Software will customize its industry-leading connection manager technology to support mobile WiMAX network access for DigitalBridge's subscribers across a wide variety of devices. Marketed under DigitalBridge's BridgeMAXX brand and relying on Smith Micro connection management technology ensures greater customer satisfaction and reduced customer support costs by automatically detecting the type of subscriber device accessing DigitalBridge's network and facilitating that access through a standard, easy-to-use interface.
