Rite Aid Donating $45,000 to the ADA Foundation's “Give Kids A Smile”
Fund
When hard economic times hit, people might think about postponing
upcoming dental checkups. Yet, regular dental visits are important, and
so is good oral hygiene. That’s why Rite Aid and the American Dental
Association (ADA) are collaborating to share the latest information on
oral health.
A free oral care guide will be available at more than 4,800 Rite Aid
stores nationwide and online at www.riteaid.com
starting July 26. Rite Aid also is donating $45,000 to ADA Foundation’s
Give Kids A Smile® fund that provides free dental care for nearly
500,000 needy children nationwide.
According to ADA President Dr. John S. Findley, “Prevention is the key.
Tooth decay, gum disease and other conditions can worsen over time, and
that means treatment can be more complicated and costly. That’s why it’s
so important to brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
that has the ADA Seal of Acceptance, floss daily, eat a balanced diet
and see your dentist regularly.”
