Jul. 26--A second IronStone Bank location opens Monday in northwest Oklahoma City, the bank's first stand-alone office after entering the Oklahoma City market last year.

The 6,000-square-foot branch at 4501 W Memorial Drive is near Mercy Health Center and the Gaillardia area's growing retail businesses and medical offices.

The area is a good fit for IronStone, which provides financial services to small- and medium-size firms, medical practices and medical professionals, company spokesman Frank Smith said.

"We do a lot of business with medical practices," he said. "They are unique and we have customized financial solutions that can help them with their goals."

IronStone is full-service, though, with personal banking services and options along with business planning.

The first location opened in 2008 on the ground floor of Landmark Towers at 3535 NW 58.

The new branch is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

IronStone Bank operates 54 locations in 11 other states, and many of those offices are in neighboring states Texas, Kansas, Missouri and New Mexico.

This second location signifies the bank's commitment to Oklahoma City customers and the community, Oklahoma-area executive David Braly said.
