Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at 2999 Pearl Street, Boulder, Colorado

New Bookstore Debuts on August 12

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on August 12 in Crossroad Commons at 2999 Pearl Street, Boulder, Colorado. Concurrently, the existing store in Crossroad Commons at 2915 Pearl Street will close. The new store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee. The new Boulder Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day and employ approximately 60 people from the community.

The new Boulder Barnes & Noble will feature a Barnes & Noble @ School section with educational tools for teachers, librarians and parents. The café will feature a four-sided fireplace and outdoor seating with views of the Flatiron Mountains.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Boulder Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, August 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Boulder Public Library. Violinist Liz Dinwiddie from Parlando School for the Arts will perform throughout the evening. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Gymboree Storytime will be held at 6:15 p.m. and librarians from the Boulder Public Library will lead Storytime at 7:30 p.m. Curious George will be on hand to meet his fans.

On Saturday, August 15 at 11 a.m., members of the Junior League of Denver will be on hand to discuss and sign copies of its new cookbook, Colorado Classique.
