ANN ARBOR, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 07/29/09 -- Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL)

has been named 2008 LTL Carrier of the Year by Whirlpool Corporation. The
award was presented at Whirlpool Corporation's annual carrier conference,
which was held at the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Ind.
Whirlpool Corporation measures its transportation providers' performance
monthly on a range of criteria including on-time delivery, invoicing,
claims incidence and problem resolution. Con-way Freight has provided LTL
service to Whirlpool for eight years, serving its inbound transportation
needs moving LTL freight from plants to production facilities.
