Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE: B), a diversified global manufacturer and
logistical services company, announced the promotion of Dawn N. Edwards
to Senior Vice President, Human Resources, effective August 3, 2009. She
will succeed John Arrington, who will retire September 1, 2009.
Most recently Vice President of Global Human Resources Operations for
Barnes Group, Edwards will report directly to Gregory F. Milzcik,
President and CEO, Barnes Group Inc., and will lead the formulation,
coordination and implementation of the Company’s worldwide Human
Resources objectives, policies, and procedures.
“Dawn has played an integral role in implementing and influencing the
Company’s Human Resources policies and practices since joining Barnes
Group in 1998,” Milzcik said. “I am confident her extensive experience
will be an asset to the senior management team.”
Over the last 11 years, she has held positions of increasing
responsibility with Barnes Aerospace and the former Barnes Industrial.
Before joining Barnes Group, Edwards held a number of Human Resource
positions at United Technology Corporation’s Hamilton Standard division.
She has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of
Law and holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Philosophy from the
University of Connecticut.
Edwards will succeed John Arrington, who is retiring after more than 11
years with Barnes Group. Before joining Barnes Group, Arrington served
for three years with US West Communications and 23 years with GE.

leadership development and staffing, and benefit programs as well as
