MetroPCS Collaborates with Cultural icon Mister Cartoon to Offer a Customized Handset and Give Back to the Community

In its ongoing effort to provide consumers with the latest selection of wireless handsets for low-cost unlimited service, MetroPCS Communications, Inc. (NYSE: PCS), the nation's leading provider of unlimited, flat-rate, no signed contract wireless communications service, along with Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile)¹, the No.1 mobile phone provider in the U.S.² and SA Studios Global, a leading multicultural marketing agency, will offer an exclusive Samsung Messager^TM handset (SCH-r450) designed by Mister Cartoon, the acclaimed artist, later this month.

The limited edition Samsung Messager will be available to consumers in all MetroPCS markets. Mister Cartoon wallpapers, ringtones and animation are preloaded on the handsets with additional downloads available from the MetroPCS Web site. A portion of revenues generated from this MetroPCS and SA Studios Global initiative will go directly to funding community art centers, outreach programs for at-risk youth and art supplies for local Los Angeles schools, Mister Cartoon’s hometown.
