Premier Technology Channel Conference for Sun Partners to Be Held August 16–18, 2009, in Denver; Virtual Trade Show Starts August 17 and Continues for Six Months

Avnet Technology Solutions, a solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), will host approximately 400 technology channel industry leaders at its annual conference for Americas-based Sun Microsystems partners, Avnet Compass ‘09. The event, to be held August 16–18, 2009, in Denver, Colo., will provide attendees with a variety of educational sessions, ranging from building a solutions practice to maximizing data center efficiencies. In addition, the event will feature the first Avnet Sun Solutions group virtual trade show – Avnet Compass: Virtual North. The virtual trade show will create a highly dynamic, interactive forum that expands event access to the employees of the Avnet Sun Solutions group partners who attend the event in person.
