Growers, Turf Professionals Re-order Products

Converted Organics Inc. (NASDAQ:COIN) announced today that customers who purchased and used the Company’s all-natural, organic fertilizers this season are reporting positive results and have placed additional orders for the remainder of the 2009 growing season. Converted Organics’ all-natural fertilizers are used on a variety of organic and conventional crops, as well as by landscape professionals.

“This is the first year I have used Converted-Organics Liquid Concentrate 1-1-1 and my cranberries are plentiful and the plant is healthy. This has been a difficult year, with little sunshine and constant rain, causing the berry size to be smaller than normal this time of year, but overall the crop looks good,” said Phil DeMoranville, owner of Kingfisher Corporation in Dartmouth, MA, who has been growing organic cranberries for 10 years. “The plant is very healthy and strong going into the berry rot season, which is very important because we cannot apply fungicides to organic crops. We have very few products to use in organic growing of cranberries and, from what I see at this time, Converted Organics is something new and has a place in organic farming.”

Neil Wendell, a third-generation golf course superintendent at New Bedford Country Club in New Bedford, MA used Converted Organics’ Liquid Concentrate 1-1-1 on his greens this season for the first time.

“We are constantly challenged by Mother Nature and local growing conditions, and we look for products that help us reduce our carbon footprint; after all, we are in the green industry. We added Converted Organics’ Liquid Concentrate 1-1-1 to our green maintenance program this year, and the result is that we have a very strong-looking plant,” said Mr. Wendell. “This is important going into our stress period of heat and humidity. We are looking for the SAR affect on the plant’s ability to tolerate stress from cultural practices, such as mowing below one-eighth of an inch, and our seasonal play at its highest, which weaken the turf and allow fungus to get a foothold during stress conditions. We have had fungus problems in the past and, from what I see at this time, we look good.”

“Testimonials from growers and turf professionals on the front lines, provide valuable insight into the performance of Converted Organics’ fertilizer products in everyday growing conditions,” said Edward J. Gildea, President of Converted Organics.
