Harman International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE: HAR) announced
today that it will serve as title sponsor for a new television and
online series in cooperation with Nat Geo Music and Nat Geo Adventure of
the National Geographic Channels International family and other
broadcast partners including linear, broadband and in-flight media.
Entitled The Music Nomad, the series will explore a diverse set
of music genres and artists through live and in-studio performances and
interviews across several continents.

The upcoming Nat Geo Music series will be hosted by leading
international music producer and CEO of the independent record label
Cumbancha, Jacob Edgar, who for the past eleven years has also been the
director of music research at Putumayo World Music. An ethnomusicologist
with an insatiable curiosity for the latest trends in global music,
Edgar has traveled the globe in search of search of exceptional songs
and musical talent.
The new series is scheduled to begin airing in November on Nat Geo Music
and Nat Geo Adventure, in cooperation with various cable and satellite
providers. Combined with web-based broadband content, the episodes are
expected to reach a massive global audience across the various broadcast
partners. The season will begin with a visit to India, including its
iconic Bollywood music genre, followed by on-location venues including
Jamaica, the US and other sites.
