SanDisk
Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK), today announced that it has appointed two
distinguished industry and technology leaders to its board of directors,
with immediate effect. The new board appointees are Kevin DeNuccio,
currently vice chairman of Redback Networks a subsidiary of L.M.
Ericsson, and Dr. Chenming Calvin Hu, currently the TSMC Distinguished
Chair Professor of Microelectronics in Electrical Engineering and
Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. DeNuccio currently serves as Vice Chairman of Redback Networks a
subsidiary of L.M. Ericsson and as a board member with JDS Uniphase
Corporation, Data Connections Ltd, and Catholic Charities. Previously,
he served as CEO of Redback for seven years and before that, was senior
vice president of worldwide service provider operations at Cisco
Systems. Prior to Cisco, DeNuccio held several executive management
roles with Verizon Communications, Unisys Corporation, and Wang
Laboratories. He holds finance and MBA degrees from Northeastern
University and Columbia University, respectively.
Dr. Chenming Calvin Hu is the TSMC Distinguished Chair Professor of
Microelectronics in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the
University of California, Berkeley. He has served as the chief
technology officer of TSMC, the world’s largest dedicated integrated
circuits foundry. In addition, Dr. Hu was the founding chairman of
Celestry Design Technologies, acquired by Cadence Design Systems, and
was the board chairman of the non-profit East Bay Chinese School,
Oakland, CA. He holds three degrees in electrical engineering: a B.S.
from the National Taiwan University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UC,
Berkeley.
