BROOMFIELD, Colo. - Plastic and metal packaging company Ball Corp. said on Monday it plans a public offering of about $650 million in senior notes due 2016 and 2019.
The supplier of metal and plastic packaging for beverage, food and household products said the terms and timing of the offer would depend on market conditions.
Ball expects to use the money to pay for its previously-announced acquisition of three beverage can manufacturing plants and one beverage can end manufacturing plant. If the acquisition isn't completed, Ball said it would use the money for general corporate purposes, including other potential acquisitions, repaying debt, working capital, share repurchases or capital spending.
