(Source: Business Wire)trackingICF Resources, Inc., a subsidiary of ICF International, Inc. (NASDAQ:ICFI), was recently awarded two new contracts to develop and implement energy efficiency programs for residential and small business customers for two U.S. based utilities. The combined value of both three-year contracts is $34 million.

ICF, a proven leader in the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs, will design and implement a comprehensive, "whole home" approach to energy reduction. This includes designing incentive programs and retrofit packages for existing homes, including multi-family residences; and identifying emerging strategies and applications for energy savings. ICF will also help develop incentives and provide marketing support through retailers to encourage consumers to purchase and use ENERGY STARĀ® lighting, appliances, electronics, HVAC equipment, and water heaters.

"In today's uncertain economy, homeowners and businesses are looking for ways to reduce costs and contribute positively to the environment," said Mike Mernick, ICF senior vice president and energy efficiency expert. "ICF understands these concerns and offers a unique approach to addressing program design, marketing, and implementation challenges."

ICF's integrated approach to addressing these challenges includes recruiting and engaging trade partners, developing and implementing a marketing and communications plan to support that effort, collecting and managing programmatic data, and effectively managing the utility's call center related to the delivery of these programs.

"ICF brings world class energy efficiency program design and implementation knowledge and expertise in key technology and analysis areas and we are very pleased with these new contracts," added Phil Mihlmester, ICF senior vice president and energy expert. "Our experienced team looks forward to helping with designing and delivering cost-effective programs that improve customer satisfaction and comfort levels, and help the utilities meet their energy efficiency goals."
