Affected Passengers May Change Flights without Penalty
ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Based on current forecasts for Tropical Storm Ana by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., (NYSE: AAI), is making adjustments to its flight schedule to/from San Juan.
The airline is adding an extra flight, AirTran Airways flight 8734 with nonstop service to Orlando, which departs San Juan at 12:25 a.m., on Monday, August 17. AirTran Airways flight 8, scheduled to depart San Juan for Orlando at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 17, has been cancelled. Passengers affected by these changes should call 1-800-AIRTRAN (247-8726) to adjust their travel plans without change fees or fare adjustments. All passengers scheduled on flights to/from San Juan on August 16 and 17, should call the airline for the latest updates before departing for the airport.
Other changes may be made based upon weather conditions. Passengers traveling to or from San Juan during the next several days are encouraged to check http://www.airtran.com for the latest flight status information. Other updates will be issued as they are available.
