DrScore.com announces today that it will provide patient-feedback services for health-care leader Tenet Healthcare Corporation. Under the agreement, DrScore will collect and analyze online feedback from patients served by physician networks in Tenet's Central, Southern and Florida regions.
"Using DrScore's innovative approach to collecting patient feedback, Tenet and its physicians will have a real-time picture of the patient experience-from check-in to the time spent with the physician-so they can quickly and cost-effectively address areas for improvement," said patient-satisfaction expert Steven Feldman, M.D., founder of DrScore. "Not only will DrScore's online survey eliminate time-consuming paper surveys, but each region will receive detailed results to drive their pay-for-performance initiatives and provide quantitative data that will help Tenet Healthcare improve best practices company-wide."
Unlike many other online physician rating Web sites, DrScore is supported by physician practices and health-care organizations that are actively seeking patient feedback to improve patient care. The site was established in 2003 by a team of patient-satisfaction experts led by Dr. Feldman with a goal of improving the patient-care experience. DrScore partners with health-care organizations and physician practices nationwide of all sizes-from large integrated delivery networks to small, physician-owned practices. To date, more than 100,000 surveys have been completed through DrScore's online portal, which enables patients to anonymously rates their physicians on 13 different aspects of care. Participating organizations, practice managers and physicians receive detailed, actionable quarterly reports reflecting both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
"This 360-degree view from the patient's perspective allows health-care providers to make meaningful enhancements to the patient experience," said Dr. Feldman. "Plus, our patient-satisfaction research shows that patients who have a positive care experience are more likely to follow their doctors' orders and take the prescribed medicines, which leads to better health outcomes and overall lower health-care costs."
