BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/26/09 -- Aberdeen
Group, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE: HHS), today announced the
availability of a new online talent management assessment portal for SilkRoad technology, inc. The tool,
which utilizes Aberdeen's primary research in human capital management,
collected and analyzed data from more than three thousand organizations,
helps companies identify their recruitment, onboarding, employee
performance management, and learning capabilities that lead to improved
business performance. Based on participants' responses to assessment
questions, the online interactive environment recommends specific
strategies and capabilities to assist companies in fine-tuning their talent
management initiatives and actually creating intrinsic value for the
organization.
Aberdeen has successfully launched other interactive portals in the
industry, but this is the inaugural tool for Aberdeen's Human Capital Management (HCM) practice. The assessment
helps organizations determine their maturity by benchmarking against
leading organizations, as identified through Aberdeen's PACE(TM)
(Pressures, Actions, Capabilities & Enablers) research model. By completing
a 10-minute online survey, in any or all four tracks -- recruiting,
onboarding, employee performance management, and learning -- participants
receive a personalized analysis of how their organizations compare to
industry peers and helps them to quickly identify key capabilities and
technologies used by companies with top performance. Talent management
professionals and business executives can utilize the assessment results to
help determine next steps in order to implement those strategies and
improve their organizations' talent management initiatives.
"The powerful tool that Aberdeen and SilkRoad have developed will allow
organizations to truly understand what they're doing well and where they
have room for improvement," said Kevin Martin, vice president and group
director for HCM and Extraprise research at Aberdeen. "Not only does this
new benchmark tool help identify potential issues, but also it will help
companies solve those problems and improve their talent management and
operational performance."
"Aberdeen is pleased to partner with SilkRoad to bring our first talent
management benchmark assessment to market," said Andrew Boyd, President of
Aberdeen.
