Burger King Holdings has reported net income of $58.9 million or $0.43 earnings per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2009, compared to $50.6 million or $0.37 earnings per diluted share, for the same period of 2008.
Total revenues for the three-month period ended June 30, 2009 were $629.9 million, a 2% decrease, compared to $645.7 million in the corresponding period of 2008.
The restaurant chain reported net income of $200.1 million or $1.46 earnings per diluted share, for the 12-month period ended June 30, 2009, compared to $189.6 million or $1.38 earnings per diluted share for the same period of 2008. Total revenues for fiscal 2009 were $2.54 billion versus $2.45 billion for the same period of 2008.
John Chidsey, chairman and CEO of Burger King Holdings, said: "In the face of a continuingly challenging macro-economic environment, our business model remains strong.
"In fiscal 2009, we completed six consecutive years of positive comparable sales growth, achieved record revenues, generated strong cash flow from operations and increased net restaurant count by 360, our strongest development year in almost a decade."
